What I love about the photography industry is the amazing people I get to meet, that share the same passion as me. Kaitlin and I crossed paths while I lived in the Upstate; she was an admin for one of the larger groups I was a part of, The Rising Tide Society. I stumbled upon the group, and it seriously was an eye opener for me as a small business owner. I began following Kaitlin then, and her journey as a photographer, along with her personal life. Crazily enough, she ended up moving to my hometown of Beaufort, in the Lowcountry, which gave us yet another connection.
When Kaitlin announced that she was pregnant, I was thrilled for her and her husband; and definitely excited when we started talking about me possibly shooting these precious portraits. This pregnancy hasn't been easy for Kaitlin; being in and out of the hospital, but she has seriously rocked it. We are continuously praying that baby Emmett will hold off on his arrival for at least the next 6 weeks. She has made it so far, and I really pray that the remainder of her pregnancy goes smoothly.
Kaitlin was a stunning and glowing momma in the two floral dresses she wore for her session; which goes to show that prints can definitely be pulled off for a portrait session. She and her husband, Drew, even brought along her adorable fur baby, Lincoln! (And I am sure Lincoln and Emmett will be the best of friends once Emmett arrives!) We used a few spots around downtown Beaufort that overlooked the Broad River, and even headed down to the marina at sunset. Can we say, GORGEOUS?!
I thoroughly enjoyed photographing another professional, especially one beautiful as Kaitlin. Leave this sweet momma some love, and any great advice you can think of!
