This time of year is always very exciting, due to the holidays, but for Kylie and Trey it will always be extra special!
I met Kylie and Trey in the fall of 2016 at Kylie's uncle's wedding, so I was so excited that I was able to be a part of this family's memories once more! It's always a HUGE compliment to come back and photograph the same family, especially for big occasions like weddings!
Prior to the ceremony, Kylie and a few of her bridesmaids and family members got pampered at Ke'Sta' with Keely and Stacia doing their hair and makeup. I have worked with Keely and Stacia during past weddings, and they are always so much fun! Once the girls were all finished up, we headed over to the church. Kylie and Trey tied the knot in Turbeville at the beautiful church of Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church. The church was beautifully decorated with Christmas decor, and lots of gorgeous, over-sized poinsettias. What I loved most about this church was it's amazing stained glass windows and high vaulted ceilings. We captured the simple details while Kylie relaxed with her bridesmaids and Trey hung out with his groomsmen.
As guests were arriving, they were seated to traditional Christmas songs, played on the piano, which helped tie in the winter wonderland theme of the whole day. You can tell no small detail was left untouched throughout the entire wedding. What I remember most about Kylie and Trey's ceremony was the way Kylie kept her eyes on Trey the entire processional down the aisle. It was such a sweet moment! The ceremony included beautifully sung music, a unity candle, sweet vows and some laughter, along with heartfelt prayer.
The couple made their way after the ceremony to Sunset Acres in Kingstree, SC. The reception continued with the winter wonderland theme; I loved all the gold and white accents throughout the venue. The reception also featured a string quartet that did a phenomenal job with the music, and was the perfect addition to the reception, in my opinion. If you know me, you know that one of my favorite parts of any wedding, is the wedding cake! It takes great skill to bake, decorate and present the perfect cake. Kylie and Trey's 4 tier cake did not disappoint, and to boot, it was funfetti; such a fun and different touch for sure!
What I love for couples to do, is take a few minutes to steal away during their ceremony to capture some sweet portraits at the reception venue, especially if it is a different location from the ceremony venue. This gives the couple another opportunity to breathe and take some time with one another, away from guests for a brief moment. I am so glad Kylie and Trey made some time in their schedule for these photos. Their's is probably one of my favorites to date.
We finished the night off with a bouquet and garter toss, which is always exciting, and then guests sent this sweet couple off through a sea of sparklers!
I thoroughly enjoyed working with these sweet families, and can't wait to watch as their family grows! Share a sweet word or words of encouragement with these two in the comments below!
