I have had the pleasure of shooting many weddings, all very different locations, at parks, on beaches, in churches and even museums. Mary Beth and Daniel decided to share their vows with family and friends on the front steps of their beautiful, country home in Elloree, South Carolina.
Incorporating their home made this wedding very intimate and special along with all the well planned details. The floral arrangements were designed by a family friend and they were gorgeous! The cake was also made by family and was absolutely the best cake I've had, hands down! (& I know my cake!) There were so many touches of friends and family sprinkled throughout the wedding decor, and really brought this event together perfectly.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding (next to the cake...) is when the bride decides to do a "first look" with her daddy. I guess since I'm a daddy's girl, and love mine dearly, I always get just a little sappy, and may have teared up a bit! Mary Beth's first look with her daddy was very touching and sweet. You can tell he loves his little girl so much!
Once we squared away all the pre-ceremony details and portraits, we waited for 5:30pm, when Mary Beth and Daniel would recite their vows before sunset. The ceremony was beautiful, with a reading from Daniel's brother, and instead of a the traditional unity candle, Mary Beth and Daniel hung a scripted "W" on their front door. I love when brides and grooms do something different and personal during their wedding ceremony. Soon after, we followed up with an exciting reception! Lots of dancing comes when you have a wonderful DJ to keep things flowing and guests on the dance floor! I think the crowd favorite was "Shout"; that's always a pretty entertaining dance to see guests and bridal party dance to!
We eventually saw Mary Beth and Daniel off with a sweet sparkler exit! And if you ever do a sparkler exit and have the extra long sparklers, chances are I'm going to make you run through twice, just for good measure!
These two sweet newlyweds were so much fun to work with and their families were amazing! Here's a few images from their gallery! Leave them some love & words of encouragement as they head out on this new adventure!
