Do you ever meet someone and feel an instant connection? That's how I felt when I met this sweet little girl's momma, Whitney. Whitney was one of my 2016 brides and we've kept in touch since her first big day!
I was stoked to find out she and her husband, Lyle were pregnant; and soon they found out it would be a precious baby girl! She told me of a few names they had liked but had ultimately agreed on Liza, and it's perfectly fitting! We knew we wanted to capture Liza's newborn features since babies change so quickly in those first few weeks, so we discussed dates and had a plan to shoot a newborn session at Whitney and Lyle's cute, little New Zion home.
I got a text that Whitney would be induced the next morning and was on pins and needles waiting to hear the joyous news and how everything went with her delivery. Baby Liza Carlysle was welcomed into the world on December 28, and was a healthy baby at 7 pounds 14 ounces of pure perfection!
I was so excited to meet Liza! We started in her nursery, where it was nice and cozy, and painted the prettiest shade of green with floral accents of pinks and golds. One of my favorite things about in-home, lifestyle sessions, is how comfortable and laid back mom and dad can be; baby is in a familiar environment and that helps tremendously! It also helps tie in the couple's home and makes the photos that much more special for years to come.
Liza was such a relaxed baby. She stayed warm and cozy and was super sleepy once we swaddled her. I seriously could have snuggled her all day! We did invite Coal, the family dog, into a few shots, but he was too excited! We did manage to get one that was pretty sweet though! I had such a good time catching up with Whitney and Lyle and meeting Liza.
Check out her session below and leave some love in the comments!
