Living in the South lends a hand in finding beautiful locations to capture stunning portraits. One of the places I have been shooting a good bit lately is at Boone Hall Plantation, in Mount Pleasant. The plantation has so much to offer and I feel like each time I visit, I find new favorite spots and new ways to capture the light.
I met up with Ashley, her mom and sister a few weeks after my maternity leave for her bridal portraits session.I had only, up until this moment, seen Ashley’s dress in pictures. It was far more elaborately beautiful in person, and it fit Ashley perfectly! Her fitted, trumpet gown, from Foxy Lady in Myrtle Beach, donned intricate lace details throughout the top layer that laid nicely over a satin skirt. It had a sultry deep v-neck, with soft netting for a hint of modesty, and simple sleeveless straps. She accessorized with a pair of nude heels, which I would have broke my neck wearing, but Ashley was very graceful in them, all while walking around the plantation. She also included a soft and simple, cathedral length veil, that added the perfect bridal touch. Her bridal bouquet was designed by Mrs. Helen at Garden House Floral Studio. It was full of gorgeous blue hydrangeas, simple white roses and the best smelling eucalyptus (one of my favorite touches included in bridal bouquets, because it smells soooo good!) If you haven’t seen Mrs. Helen’s floral creations, go check out her Facebook. I love, love, love her work.
