Meet the Bride | Hannah G. | Boone Hall Plantation | Bridal Portraits |2019

If you have been around for a while, you know my love for Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. It’s been one of my favorite places to photograph a handful of my stunning brides this season. Hannah was one of them! We picked a date that was relatively clear of tourist, thankfully! Hannah, her momma, Susan and I took to the plantation and had way too much fun. Hannah has such a beautiful spirit about her. She exudes big confidence that I wish I had just an ounce of. She was open to doing a few things outside of the “normal” realm of bridal portraits and I love when I can break boundaries a bit!

Hannah’s gown reminded me of a princess’s gown, with the lace detailing on the bodice and crew neck, and the amazing train. The fullness of the skirt gave us the ability to do so much fun things (check out those twirling photos!) But, one of my most favorite aspects of her gown was how closely it matched her grandmother’s wedding gown. She brought along a portrait of her grandmother from her wedding day that we incorporated in her session. I love including family heirlooms or in this case, memories, into sessions. It doesn't have to be anything huge, maybe a grandmother’s broach or an aunts earrings, or a daddy’s tie stitched into the inseam of the gown. These little details add such a personal touch.

Hannah has been a wonderful bride to work with, and now that she and Michael have made their vows official, I can share her gorgeous bridal session. Check out her portraits below! I can’t wait to share her wedding day very soon!
