I knew Shelby’s bridal portrait session was going to be so much fun when I learned we were going to be shooting on her family’s property that included cows. If you know me, you know I absolutely love cows. My sister use to buy me something once a year that was cow related for my birthday or Christmas. It was always a fun surprise to know what kind of funky cow item she could find. So knowing I might get to photograph a few cows while shooting Shelby’s bridal portraits, was super exciting!
Before we made our way to the family homestead, we started Shelby’s portraits at 1912 Bed and Breakfast in Sumter, South Carolina. We strictly used the gardens and porch of the property and they were perfect for a southern bell like Shelby. We quickly stopped by the Sumter County Museum as well, and lucky for us the florals were in bloom! I love using the grounds around the museum, it never disappoints. We finished up at Shelby’s childhood home. The farm land was complete with silos, barns, tractors and you guessed it, cows.
I absolutely love this set of bridals. Shelby is an absolutely beautiful bride, with an even more beautiful soul. I loved getting to work with her and her family, along with Chris (her groom!) and his family. I will be sharing their wedding day soon, so stick around! In the meantime, check out some of my favorites from Shelby’s bridal session!
