When Kristian and Blake hired me for their wedding, I began anticipating their big day, because I knew it would be absolutely beautiful! And oh boy, I was so right! It was a perfect day to tie the knot!
Their wedding took place at The Wishbone in Summerton, South Carolina. The ceremony and location were both beautifully decorated, with white seats, lovely greenery, florals and a rustic touch of burlap, galvanized buckets and wooden spindles. Kristian and Blake's bridal party wore the perfect colors for a spring wedding; pink for the girls and classic tan suits for the guys. The entire wedding party looked sharp! Kristian and her bridesmaid's dresses were from Jean's Bridal of Mount Pleasant and Blake and his groomsmen's suits were from James' Formal Wear.
I have known a few of the individuals involved with the day since I made Summerton my permanent home close to 4 years ago. It is always so much fun working a wedding where I know a ton of the guests, it makes my job feel less like work honestly. Seeing so many familiar faces, I knew the day would be a blast.
Kristian and Blake said their vows overlooking one of the ponds on the beautiful property, in front of a gorgeous floral covered cross, decorated by Garden House (Manning, South Carolina). They did a spectacular job on all the florals and greenery used throughout the day, including Kristian's bouquet, the boutonnieres, and the family corsages, etc. The floral arrangements are some of my favorite details to capture on a wedding day. Kristian was walked down the aisle by her grandfather, and was absolutely so precious. Joe Gonzalez played acoustically and sang during the processional, and it was perfectly fitting for the ceremony.
Promptly following the ceremony, Kristian, Blake and their guests made way to a fun filled reception. They had a cute little bar, and some amazing food catered by Lilfred's. I am a true fat kid at heart, and I absolutely love a wedding catered by Lilfred's; top notch food and presentation. Whenever a bride tells me they are hiring them as their caterers, I always hope I have enough time to snag some pimento cheese or mashed potatoes. (haha!) And once you've gotten your fair share of great eats, you definitely have to hit the dance floor to dance off some of those calories! Entertainment for the reception was provided by Graham Entertainment, owned and operated by husband and wife, Tad and Lyndy Graham. They are some of the most fun DJs I have worked with, especially because they know all the popular line dances and will literally get out on the dance floor and share their moves! What better way to keep the night flowing?!
Kristian and Blake also hired Jason Courtenay (Savannah, Georgia) for live music and entertainment. If you haven't heard him play, you are missing out! Check him out of Facebook! He is a wonderful, live performer!
The evening went on with tons of laughing and dancing. You could feel and see the love and support from everyone who attended this sweet wedding. Take a look at Kristian and Blake's wedding day below and leave them some words of encouragement and love as newlyweds!
