This precious little girl, Tallie Mae, came and visited me last week! I was so excited when I found out her momma was expecting again. Last year I had the fun opportunity to photograph her big sister, Gainey Grace. They are such beautiful little girls.
Tallie Mae was such a sleepy head during her session, which isn’t typically common for a four week old! But, she dreamed sweetly the entire time we were together, which always makes my job that much easier.
Her session is considered one of my simple posed newborn sessions. During these sessions, I will swaddle babies, but I don’t put them in “studio poses”, such as the froggy pose or potato sack pose, etc. Those types of poses take a ton of safety measures and should always be done as composites. One day I will be comfortable doing them, but for now I’m still learning and educating myself on newborn safety. Instead, my approach is more relaxed posing, and allowing the baby to settle into their own comfort level. Tallie Mae did just that! She was the perfect baby model for this type of session! I am in love with all of her images, but maybe I am a little biased.
